מומלץ לטאטא או לשאוב אבק ולאחר מכן לשטוף בחומר המיועד לשטיפה ושימור האבן, אשר מחזיר את הברק לאבן ומשמר את הסילר.

רצוי להשתמש במטלית מיקרופייבר לחה/עד חצי רטובה. בנוסף אפשר להוסיף כמות קטנה של אקונומיקה (מכיוון שהאקונומיקה הינו חומר בסיסי ולא חומצתי), לאחר מכן אין צורך בניקוי נוסף.

כתמים שנוצרים על האבן מיין, קולה, קפה, תה וכו' אפשר ורצוי להסיר על ידי שימוש בחומרים מומלצים המתאימים לאבן טבעית.
